Curramulka
Port Victoria
Maitland
Ardrosson
Another touring day on the
Yorke, the long straight roads through flat farmland have become
familiar.
Our first stop was
Curramulka, we walked around the deserted village admiring the
stunning old houses and cottages. Lots of history has been preserved
here and the residents seem to take a lot of pride in their
properties and gardens. I didn't see any shops or stores, just the
pub. There is a free camp with toilets and water at the community
centre.

Continuing onto Port
Victoria, it's a fairly large holiday town. It has a pub (of course!)
and general store small supermarket and a cafe. The caravan park is
on the edge of the cliff overlooking Point Pearce Aboriginal land and
Wardang Island. It was windy today and not very pleasant being out of
the car. There's a new boat ramp and lots of parking, I'm pretty sure
this place would be buzzing in the summer.

Our next stop was
Maitland, we stopped and visited 2 op shops then continued on to
Ardrossan for a lunch break on top of the red cliffs on the edge of
town. Its a lovely little spot with all the shops you could need. We
restocked our fridge and pantry at Food Land but unfortunately didn't
see the caravan park.

When I first saw this Viterra Silo from a distance
I thought it was a European castle.
