Winter Journey

Marion Bay
Corny Point
Warooka
Minlaton

Ominous looking sky at Port Vincent this morning.

After a sleepless night wondering if the caravan would be blown away by the raging storm and howling wind we were pleasantly surprised to be able to continue our trip today under blue skies.

We made the 1½ hour drive down to the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula not seeing much along the road. We did find a sheltered spot for lunch with beautiful views across the bay. Marion Bay is a small holiday village with lots of small weekenders, some needing lots of TLC. The long pier looked like a good place to fish, the beach was thick with weed. The caravan park did look old but I didn't see the amenities block.

From there we went to Corny Bay on the other side of the peninsula, again we found a similar community of holiday houses, we followed the coast to Cockle Beach before meeting the highway and going through Warooka and then Minlaton.

Muddy unmade roads, no problem :)

A lovely place to rest at Warooka
