Lake Bolac Vic

Setting out from home we travelled about 4 hours  to western Victoria stopping at the Lake Bolac Foreshow Reserve, our first night out on our third trip.

The entire place was deserted, not a soul for miles....

About 1/2 hour after setting up our  camp  out of nowhere the Ranger appeared to collect his $15 camping fee. Nice to know our presence had been noted!

We cooked on an open fire enjoying the serenity watching the birds find their peaceful places as the darkness descended.
We woke to the same birds starting the day and were delighted we had survived our first  night alone.



We need to think about sourcing wood,
 not much here

Amenities block...Flushing toilets & hot showers.
Very basic, not well maintained
