Burrill Lake, Dolphin Point, Lake Tabourie & Bawley Point NSW

Another day in Paradise....

We spent a relaxing morning around our camp. We did get involved watching the Royal Commission and George Pell testifying from Rome. Riveting viewing...

A couple of hours was enough though so we travelled south to find a picnic spot for lunch. Burrill Lake and Dolphin Point were the closest on the map so we headed there.

We were not disappointed, the highway straddles the lake much of which is a water bird and wetland reserve, it's attached to a lovely little village with a mixture of holiday and permanent homes.

Left turn over the bridge took us to Dolphin Point an incredibly beautiful spot with beaches, rock ledges and pools. We secured a lookout spot on the bluff to have our picnic then walked as far as we could along the shore as the tide rushed in.

We then followed the coast and wandered in and out of beautiful beaches and magical places.

Dolphin Point was so beautiful we have decided to go there again before we leave the area and explore the rock ledges and pools at low tide.

So much to see in this beautiful part of the world... how blessed we are.

Ulladulla & Mollymook NSW

The night before we left Narooma we saw the most stunning pink skies telling us the following day would be fine.

However the next day was overcast with rain so not too bad for travelling after the 35+ degree days we had been having. We took a last look at the turquoise sea and the opening bridge of Narooma and headed north.

We didn't really know where we would go but I loved the name ULLADULLA so that was our target. There was also a pet friendly park there so that was a bonus.

After a pit stop at an RV workshop to repair a caravan light and our water inlet fitting (which didn't work!) we arrived at the Ulladulla Headland caravan park and were given a great spot on the top of the cliff with glimpses of the harbour through the trees.

It rained for the rest of the day and all night then we awakened to the most perfect not too hot sunny day.

We explored the harbour area and went on the Gondwana Coast Fossil Time Walk and saw a collection if 510 million year to 3-4 million year old rocks taken from the surrounding area. Examples are Shelly Limestone, Basalt, Ferricrete,Siltstone, Black Slate and others.

We finished the day by going to Moolymook beach which was magnificent.

We came home with an exhausted and very wet but happy dog.

Potato Point NSW

a short detour off the highway took us to Potato Point, a quiet little settlement with mainly holiday houses and a stunning coastline.

Perfect beauty

Wildlife hanging out in the suburbs

Crocodile Rock

Bodalla NSW

Tiny village with an amazing church, a dairy and cheese factory. We wandered around, tasted the cheese and explored the shops until the heat of the day sent us back to the air con in the car.

All Saints Anglican Church

Beautiful Baptismal Font

Looks a lot like many of the churches I have seen in England
Also reminds me of St Michaels and All Angels,
Mt Dandenong Vic

Very English, even has Saint George

Cute cows at the dairy

A lovely little shop

Pretty garden

Cool respite on a hot day

Tuross Head NSW

Although we saw some spectacular scenery at Tuross we couldn't find a beach that was dog friendly so we moved on fairly quickly.
We eventually found a nice spot on one of the many lakes for our picnic lunch.

Another spectacular view

Misty mountains in a beautiful landscape

Wild Lillies growing everywhere along the highways

Dalmeny NSW

Dalmeny is a small settlement just outside Narooma with a large area on the bluff reserved for camping. A few shops make it a great place to stay although right on a National Park so some areas we couldn't go to.
We loved the inlet, Trev was happy bait hunting while Molly and I wandered about in the shallows.

I think we found the Magic Faraway Tree at the caravan park

Moruya & Batemans Bay NSW

From Narooma we have visited Moruya and Batemans Bay stopping at most of the scenic bays and beaches along the way.
