Just the Beginning

We have finally taken the plunge and traded the old "1985 practice van" in for a newer model.
We have had one trip away in our 16.6 foot Gazal Infinity Pop Top Caravan 2000 model and love it to bits.

We stayed at the Tongala Caravan Park for a few days.....peaceful peaceful peaceful AND dog friendly.

Tongala is close to Echuca, Sheparton and we also made it over the NSW border to Jerilderie to catch up with long time friends Lynn and Tony.
Great seeing such good friends again after 25 years...where have those years gone???

In true Grey Nomad fashion we shopped in the local shops and saw as much as possible. The dairy exhibition at Tongala was a disappointment and probably more suited to kids, also a pity that the Nestle factory didn't have a shop.

We had an enjoyable couple of hours wandering around the historic port of Echuca.

Stopping for lunch to watch the passing parade.

Our first holiday in our new Pop Top van  was less stressful than expected thanks to our wonderful cousin John who helped us so much before we left. The only thing we had trouble with was the roll out awning and that was easily solved by a quick call to Kim at the dealership back home.
With that sorted we headed home and even managed to get her into the driveway in one piece.

Now looking forward to our retirement in December and heading off on many many more Caravan Adventures in the future.
